Valencia – 20.07.20. The Fundación Valenciaport has already opened the registration period for the 2nd edition in Brazil of the Master in Logistics and Port Management (MLGP), a degree from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), which will be given as always in a semi-attendance mode and will begin at the end of October.
This Master, which has also been successfully taught in Argentina and soon in Colombia, deals with the knowledge, both conceptual and practical, that allows students to acquire the necessary skills to develop management functions in the field of logistics and port management. The curriculum is structured in different subjects including: maritime traffic; transport infrastructure and means; port planning and management; business management applied to the port environment; production and logistics; supply chain strategy; as well as techniques for logistics and supply chain.
The program is composed of a total of 600 hours: 490 academic hours, of which 66% will be in virtual mode and 34% in attendance (5 weeks in Brasilia (Brazil) and one week in Valencia (Spain), plus 110 hours dedicated to TFM development (end of Master’s work). As in previous editions, students will have the opportunity to do an internship of one week in Valencia where they will give extraordinary lectures and visit different facilities related to the subjects taught.
The teaching staff will be made up of professors from the Polytechnic University of Valencia with proven international teaching experience and professionals from the port logistics sector linked to the Valenciaport Foundation, the Valencia Port Authority and companies from the Valencia port logistics sector.
The admission period for applications to this Master’s Programme will end on 30 August 2020.
The Fundación Valenciaport is also teaching the Master’s Degree in Port Management and Intermodal Transport (MGPT), the 29th edition of which will begin on 15 October in Valencia and which has established itself as the most internationally prestigious training programme in Spanish, specialising in ports and transport, and which has been widely acclaimed by professionals and postgraduates in Spain, Europe and Latin America. In addition to the 28 editions held in Valencia (Spain), the Master has been taught, in its international edition, in the countries of Panama and Colombia and will continue its international projection with new editions in other countries.
