The STIMULO project had the objective of building intelligent traffic management services by means of real-time prediction of the state of the components of the transport system (infrastructure, vehicles, goods, users…).

The main elements of the infrastructure proposed in the STIMULO project were the simulation model, mining of real-time data from a range of different sensors, the generation of traffic indicators and the use of these indicators together with collective intelligence techniques to be able to provide the transport system with associated services that help improve efficiency and performance.
