- OpenTalks is the new communication initiative from Opentop, Valenciaport’s open logistics and port innovation hub
- The video podcast has 15 episodes already recorded, featuring more than 35 professionals from the innovative port ecosystem and covering current topics such as sustainability, energy transition, digitalization, and security
- The episodes will be published weekly on Opentop’s YouTube channel (link), in Spanish with English subtitles, and are part of the communication plan for the PEIC – International Port Entrepreneurship Congress
Valencia, September 11th, 2025.– Opentop, Valenciaport’s Logistics and Port Innovation Hub, has officially launched OpenTalks, a new video podcast communication initiative to disseminate the latest advances and trends in logistics and port innovation. This platform was created with the aim of bringing innovation in the sector closer to the port community from a dual perspective: the disruptive vision of startups and the consolidated experience of port corporations and institutions.
The video podcast already has 15 recorded episodes that address topics of utmost interest to the sector, including port sustainability, the blue economy, terminal automation, the digitization of logistics processes, emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence applied to ports, cybersecurity in critical infrastructures, and energy transition solutions, among other current issues. These episodes have featured more than 35 leading professionals from the innovative port ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, scale-up executives, port authority innovation managers, and maritime technology experts.
The episodes will be published weekly on Opentop’s YouTube channel (link), in Spanish with English subtitles, given that the subject matter has global reach and interest. In addition, six additional episodes with an international scope are scheduled to be recorded, which will subsequently be translated into Spanish to broaden the global perspective of the content.
This initiative is part of the Communication Plan of the PEIC (Port Entrepreneurship International Congress), the International Port Entrepreneurship Congress to be held on October 22 in Valencia, within the framework of the VDS and with the support of the Regional Ministry of Innovation, Industry, Trade, and Tourism (GVA-EMENTI 251522).
Antonio Torregrosa, managing director of Fundación Valenciaport, highlighted that
“OpenTalks represents the firm commitment of our Opentop initiative to create a new, modern, and dynamic communication format that promotes logistics and port innovation from Valenciaport with an international perspective. We want to reinforce Valencia’s position as a global benchmark in the conversation about the future of ports and logistics, connecting local talent with global trends.”
Meanwhile, Jorge Marcos, Lead Project Manager at Opentop, pointed out that
“This initiative allows us to showcase truly interesting projects and startups that are transforming the sector. OpenTalks fulfills one of Opentop’s objectives, which is to bring startups closer to the real needs of the logistics and port sector, creating an effective bridge of communication between emerging innovation and market demands.”
