Valencia, 8 October 2025.- Opentop, Valenciaport’s innovation hub, announces the third edition of the Port Entrepreneurship International Congress (PEIC), which will take place on 22 October at the City of Arts and Sciences, as part of the Valencia Digital Summit (VDS).

A meeting that brings together the main players in the global port ecosystem

The PEIC has established itself as one of the most important events on the international port entrepreneurship calendar. The conference will kick off with an opening dialogue between Mar Chao, President of the Port Authority of Valencia, and Antonio Torregrosa, Director General of the Valenciaport Foundation, who will open the doors of innovation at Valenciaport to a global audience of industry professionals.

The programme includes a session of the Port Innovators Network (PIN), with representation from the innovation hubs of the ports of Halifax (Canada), Hamburg (Germany), Tyne (UK) and San Diego (USA); as well as an interesting reverse pitching session where experts will present the latest trends in international investment within the port sector. The conference will address four strategic themes: blue economy, energy transition and sustainability, logistics chain efficiency, and port security and resilience. In each of these blocks, three start-ups will present their innovative solutions, followed by round tables bringing together industry experts and venture capital representatives.

International networking and recognition of innovation

Since its inception, PEIC has been characterised by its ability to generate synergies between the different players in the port ecosystem. This year will also see the launch of the PEIC Audience Award, which will recognise the start-up that receives the most votes from conference attendees, thereby reinforcing the participatory and open nature of the event.
