The International Port Entrepreneurship Congress (PEIC) 2025, an event promoted by Opentop, Valenciaport’s innovation hub, took place on October 22 at the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències in Valencia, as part of the Valencia Digital Summit 2025. The event brought together international leaders from the port sector, innovation experts, startups, investors, and authorities, with the aim of strengthening collaboration around port and maritime innovation.
PEIC 2025 offered a comprehensive agenda, with round tables and presentations addressing the challenges and opportunities of the future of ports, digitalization, and sustainability, positioning itself as one of the main platforms of reference for discussing the future of technology and entrepreneurship in the port logistics sector.
The conference addressed four strategic themes: blue economy, energy transition and sustainability, logistics chain efficiency, and port security and resilience. In each of these blocks, three startups presented their innovative solutions, followed by round tables that brought together industry experts and venture capital representatives. The program also included a session of the Port Innovators Network (PIN), with representation from the innovation hubs of the ports of Halifax (Canada), Hamburg (Germany), Tyne (UK), and San Diego (USA); as well as a reverse pitching session where experts presented the latest trends in international investment within the port sector.
PEIC 2025 has been co-financed by the Regional Ministry of Innovation, Industry, Trade, and Tourism of the Valencian Government.
