Course objectives
This Master’s degree will cover the conceptual and practical knowledge that will enable students to acquire the necessary skills to perform management functions in the field of logistics and port management.
The programme offers postgraduate training in Logistics and Port Management for executives, directors and managers in the Brazilian logistics sector.
The result of a technical cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Infrastructure, entities in the sector and Fundación Valenciaport this course has been held for 29 years in Spain and, with graduates working in the main ports, governments and institutions in the logistics and port sector, it will be held for the second time in Brazil.
It is a Master’s degree from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the Fundación Valenciaport, an entity linked to the Port Authority of Valencia, internationally recognised as a leading organisation in innovation and management applied to port logistics.
The objectives of the Master’s degree include:
- Deepen in the main aspects related to sea freight transport from different points of view: administrative, operational, economic, environmental, legal and political.
- Learn modern strategies to identify and design alternatives in supply chain logistics.
Gain in-depth knowledge of the role played by ports within the logistics cycle of transport and the supply chain of organisations. - Understand how the world’s major ports have designed their trade, exploration and port development.
- Learn and understand how to apply 4.0 technologies to improve the competitiveness of ports, terminals and companies linked to port logistics.

Programme
The Master’s Programme is divided into seven subjects plus the Master’s Thesis, which in turn are divided into courses.
Teaching team
Participation of directors and professors linked to the Port of Valencia, Fundación Valenciaport, and the Polytechnic University of Valencia, all with proven experience of more than 20 years in the international port logistics sector.

Once the academic period has ended, all subjects have been assessed as satisfactory, and the Master’s Final Project has been approved, the Polytechnic University of Valencia will issue the Master’s Degree in Logistics and Port Management (MLGP).

The price of the Master’s programme per student is US$12,500 for a class of 16 students. If the number of registered participants exceeds 16, 20 or 24 students, the price will be reduced to US$12,000, US$11,000 and US$10,000 respectively.
Admission requirements:
- To be eligible for Master’s programmes, students must hold a university degree.
- They must have at least three years of professional experience in organisations related to the topics covered in the programme.
- Their curriculum vitae must be approved by the Programme Management Committee.
- The programme is open to graduates in any field, provided they have at least three years of professional experience in organisations related to the topics covered in the programme.
