Valencia – 6.11.19. The course “International Certificate in Port Terminal Management”, organised by Fundación Valenciaport, will be held this week and will train Brazilian managers of ports and private companies linked to the sector.
This course, which was inaugurated by Antonio Torregrosa and Ana Rumbeu, Director General and Director of Training of Fundación Valenciaport, has the objective of making known the good practices and innovation projects developed by Fundación Valenciaport, the Port of Valencia and the companies of the Valencian port cluster.
For one week, executives from Fundación Valenciaport and the Port Authority of Valencia will train the participants in subjects such as: innovation at the service of the ports; port planning, strategy and quality; business opportunities in the logistics chains linked to the ports; latest trends in container terminals; new environmental challenges and supply of new fuels; the digital revolution of the sector or port security and cybersecurity, among others.
In addition to the theoretical subjects, the course includes different technical visits to the port of Valencia; to the APM Terminals container terminal and the Valencia Terminal Europa ro-ro terminal; as well as to the Valenciaport Border Inspection Post (BIP) facilities.
The closing ceremony will take place on Friday, during which the conclusions of the course will be read out and diplomas will be awarded to the participants. This course has been a new opportunity to make contact with other ports and to identify potential collaborations in numerous fields (port development, quality management, technologies, environment, energy efficiency, etc.).
