At the Fundación Valenciaport, we are building on our commitment to research and humanism through the lecture series ‘Encounters at the Port of Valencia’. This new initiative has been launched with the aim of creating an open forum for reflection and dialogue on the major contemporary challenges – ranging from ethics to cutting-edge technology – led by leading figures in their fields.
We invite the port community and society at large to broaden their horizons by joining these free-to-attend sessions. A space in which to learn, share and strengthen ties with an innovative port ecosystem committed to its environment.
For this first event, we will be joined by the renowned physicist, science communicator and podcaster Alberto Aparici, who will introduce us to the quantum computing revolution. When will it become a reality? What can we expect from it? What implications might it have for our daily lives? And, above all, what magic does quantum technology hold to give us faster computers?
We look forward to seeing you on 28 May at 6.00 pm in the Assembly Hall of the Port Authority of Valencia.
The future is discussed here. Sign up and be part of the event!
*A reception will be held after the talk.
