The Fundación Valenciaport launches its “Port Logistics Webinars” to train the sector during confinement

Valencia – 01.04.20. The Fundación Valenciaport has decided to launch a cycle of free webinars on the main trends in the port logistics cluster with the aim of offering the sector a friendly option for training and updating during the period of confinement resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first webinar will be held next Monday, April 6th at 17:00 hrs. and will have as speaker the President of the Port Authority of Valencia, Aurelio Martinez, who will deepen in how the Coronavirus crisis affects the local and global economy and, especially, the port logistics sector. Martínez will also provide proposals for economic policy to alleviate the negative effects of this crisis.

These webinars will be held through the Virtual Classroom platform of the Fundación Valenciaport on a weekly basis and will last 30 minutes plus 15 additional minutes of questions. It is expected that, during the next few weeks, highly topical issues will be analysed, combining market topics, as is the case of the first webinar, with innovation and technology topics such as the blockchain, cyber security in ports, the use of hydrogen in the maritime-port sector, the automation of container terminals or the possibilities of the circular economy in ports, among others.
