Valencia, 18 January 2023. – Last Friday saw the start of the 2nd edition of the Expert Diploma in Innovation and Digitisation of the port logistics sector, a qualification awarded by the Universitat Politècnica de València, directed and coordinated by the Fundación Valenciaport with the support of Inndux.
The objective with which the course was born, to train and support the talent of the logistics-port community in its process of implementation of Industry 4.0, was more than fulfilled with the first edition of the course and, therefore, this second edition follows in the footsteps of the first and seeks that students continue to strengthen their leadership skills in order to address new solutions in innovation and digitisation that can transform the port logistics sector and make its operations and processes more efficient. This was made clear during the inaugural session by José Aguilar, academic director of the programme; José Santamans, general manager of Inndux; and Ana Rumbeu, training director of the Fundación Valenciaport.
The course faculty is made up of professors from the Universitat Politècnica de València, executives from the Fundación Valenciaport, the Port Authority of Valencia, and Inndux, as well as representatives from the innovation ecosystem and the port logistics sector. This faculty provides a dual vision: on the one hand, the professional vision of the sector, with its needs and challenges and, on the other hand, the technological vision with its developments, solutions and projects applicable to logistics and ports of the future, which will ensure that students, after the 220 hours of the programme, know all the trends and technologies that will influence and impact on port logistics activity in the coming years.
