Proyecto FAITH
  • FAITH will develop reliable and ethical Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions in areas such as healthcare, education, transport and critical infrastructure management
  • Fundación Valenciaport will lead the implementation of two large-scale pilots of maritime and/or underwater drones to monitor port infrastructure and evaluate the data obtained
  • The initiative has a budget of nearly 10 million euros co-financed by the Horizon Europe programme

Valencia, January 26th, 2024. – The kick-off meeting of the FAITH project was held this week in Heraklion (Crete), an initiative that will develop reliable and ethical Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions in areas such as health, education, transport and critical infrastructure management.

The FAITH project, in which Fundación Valenciaport participates as a partner, has a budget of nearly 10 million euros, co-funded by the Horizon Europe programme of the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and is scheduled to end in January 2028.

FAITH proposes the development of an innovative human-focused reliability management ecosystem that will equip AI practitioners, end-users and other stakeholders with operational tools and instruments to ensure, assess and monitor reliability in AI and/or robotics solutions throughout the entire lifecycle of AI systems.

This ecosystem will be composed of two parts; FAITH AI_TAF, a trustworthiness assessment framework, and FAITH Trustworthiness Evaluation Infrastructure, a risk assessment framework.

In total, the FAITH project will implement 14 large-scale pilots in 7 critical domains (robotics, education, media, transport, healthcare, active ageing and industry), to demonstrate that FAITH holistic estimation can be used in a wide range of domains.

Within the FAITH consortium there are a total of 19 entities that will collaborate for the correct development of FAITH; Fundación Valenciaport, FORTH – Idryma Technologias Kai Erevnas (coordinator); Trustilio BV; Athens Technology Center Anonymi viomichaniki emporiki kai techniki etaireia efarmogon ypsilis technologias; SINTEF AS; University of Southampton; Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche; Erevnitiko Panepistimiako Institouto Systimaton Epikoinonion kai Ypologiston – EMP; Freedom House Romania; Ellinogermaniki Agogi Scholi Panagea Savva.
