Flagship was an integrated project composed of several sub-projects oriented at making ship operations more secure, more efficient and environmentally friendly. The Fundación Valenciaport worked exclusively in sub-project B.6 on freight planning and handling.

The objective of this project was to develop a prototype of tools capable of facilitating and optimising the required planning processes to organise container transport in such a way as to accrue cost savings in import, export and transhipment operations whilst reducing as much as possible the repositioning of empty containers needed in container terminals.
